Cherry

Hill is a township in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, the township had a population of 71,237.

Cherry Hill is one of the Philadelphia metropolitan area’s largest communities in terms of land area. The township is now also known for its mall, Cherry Hill Mall, as well as its high-end restaurants and shopping districts.

Location

Cherry Hill is located approximately 16 miles (26 km) southeast of Philadelphia and forms part of the Delaware Valley region.

Transportation

Cherry Hill is accessible via Route 70, Interstate 295, the New Jersey Turnpike and the Atlantic City Expressway.

Education

The Cherry Hill Public Schools serve students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district’s high school is Cherry Hill High School West.

Economy

One of South Jersey’s major shopping malls, the Cherry Hill Mall, is located in Cherry Hill. The mall contains more than 170 stores and restaurants, including Macy’s, JCPenney, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom Rack, and Apple Store.

Cherry Hill has a hot-summer humid continental climate (Dfa/Dfb) and average monthly temperatures range from 34.0°F in January to 75.0°F in July.

Attraction

The Cherry Hill Arts Council sponsors the Annual Cherry Hill Sculpture Garden Exhibition each May. The garden features 16 sculptures on loan from various artists for a period of one year.

Cherry Hill also has a farmers market which is open every Saturday from May to November. The market features fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, baked goods, and more.

Cherry Hill Estates is a neighborhood located in the west-central part of Cherry Hill. The area is home to many upscale homes and businesses.

Cooper Landing is a neighborhood located in the northern part of Cherry Hill. The area is named for Cooper River, which runs through the neighborhood.

Erlton is a neighborhood located in the southwest corner of Cherry Hill. The area was once a farming community.

Evesham Township is a township located in the southern part of Cherry Hill. The area is home to many businesses.

The Golden Triangle is a neighborhood located in the northwest corner of Cherry Hill. The area is home to many residential neighborhoods.
