Pasadena, Texas is a city in the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land metropolitan area. The population was 153,503 at the 2010 census. It is the second most populous city in Harris County after Houston, and is within the Greater Houston metropolitan area. History

Pasadena was founded in 1893 by John H. Burnett of Galveston, who named the community after Pasadena, California because of the perceived lush vegetation.
